Articles appearing in ACP JournalWise have been rated by physicians using the McMaster Online Rating of Evidence (MORE) system, comprising assessments of articles' relevance and newsworthiness (see Rating Form).
Relevance
Relevance is the degree (on a 7-point scale, 7 being highest) to which an article's findings are relevant to the practice of raters' clinical discipline or specialty.
Newsworthiness
Newsworthiness is the degree (on a 7-point scale, 7 being highest) to which an article's findings might be useful and something that clinicians in the rater’s discipline were unlikely to know. Articles must meet a minimum rating for relevance before they are rated for newsworthiness.
Raters are also encouraged to provide free text comments (maximum 1000 characters).
