ACPJournalWise continuously screens the medical literature to alert you to recently
published articles on the topics and from the journals you pick.
Research Alerts
ACP JournalWise screens every issue of over 120 journals using two steps:
- Methodological Review: health research experts classify articles according to medical
disciplines and rate them using standard criteria to identify scientifically strong
studies and reviews
- Clinical Review: at least 3 clinicians in the relevant discipline rate the newsworthiness
and clinical relevance of the scientifically strong articles along a 7 point scale
You select the medical disciplines and the rating thresholds for the article alerts
you want to receive. Check new alerts by logging into the service from your smart
phone, tablet, or computer. You can also opt to receive e-mail alerts of new articles
at a frequency you choose.
Journal Tables of Contents
ACP JournalWise knows you don’t have time to read all of the medical journals you
would like to, so it provides a convenient single location to keep up with what’s
new in your favorite journals. Use ACP JournalWise to browse Tables of Contents
of journals you pick from a list of 200 as new issues become available. The TOC
article titles link to abstracts of selected articles on the journals’ own web sites.
Availability of the full-text articles will be via each journals’ existing access
policies.
Folder Sharing
Save links to articles in folders you create. You can share those articles and folders
with colleagues who also use ACP JournalWise, and you can in turn follow your colleagues’
folders.
Search
ACP JournalWise maintains a searchable database of quality-assessed articles published
as far back as 2003. Search the database for highest quality evidence, filtered
by specialties you choose.
